i am sure you've picked up from my previous posts that i am very fond of the collegiate(in lack of better words) look and that my all stars have turned brown in less than 6 months. anyway stripes are also a favourite of mine even though i don't own anything striped except this pinstripped blue shirt that was originally from Mr Price but i got it somewhere else for a cheaper price. oh and i'm sure you've noticed the white knitwear that i tend to wear all the time because it's white and it's pretty awesome, even if i say so myself.i bought it from jay jays. the jeggings i got from Jet and they are pretty great too, just a little tighter than i wanted them to be but they were the last pair and i wasn't about to leave the store without them. i never know how to end posts so yeah
So winter is here (sad face). i don't particularly like this season. i don't like the cold, and how we have to layer for days to keep warm. i don't like that i gain a lot of weight in winter because i just stuff my face frequently(but i don't know if i should blame that on winter, with that being sad though i think people are less likely to gain weight in summer and spring so yeah )
this winter i will be getting a lot of wear out of my black leather jacket which i haven't worn in such a long time because the weather simply did not allow. Sweaters and jerseys (in lack of better fashion terminology) are a must have and i'm really loving these neutral, pastel, earthy colours. i'd like to get one in black and grey as well...because you must just have one in every colour. these are some of my staple pieces for this winter. what are yours?
i feel bad blogging about this jacket because it's not mine, it's a friend's and it hurts me to think that she got it for less than 50 bucks at a thrift shop somewhere downtown. well it's not actually a thrift shop we call it dunusa because you have to get into that twerking position to pick clothes (jokes) but for real you pick the clothes from the floor. might take pictures next time we go. it's a pretty cool place, the clothes are cheap and durable and once you get over the fact that someone has worn them before and that the place is crowded it's a pretty awesome place to shop. anyway back to the jacket, i love this thing and it's perfect for winter because you can put layers and layers of clothes underneath and it helps that it's a large size. denim never really goes out out of style and i love pieces that you can rock all year. it kind has a faded look to it which makes it a tad vintage and i really love that about this piece. i might hang on to it for a few more weeks so my friend will just have to deal. hey
