This past weekend a friend of mine, Mpumi , turned 23 and we went out for a little lunch date with the girls. We went to Mike's Kitchen just across the road form our res. Most of us got the Lengendary avo and bacon burger which was awesome. They serve generous portions and that's one thing I always appreciate, getting value for your money. The service was amazing. We got 3 waiters checking up on us.

Mr Big Stuff is the new kid on the block. Harboured in the city's most vibrant area with the most raddest burgers I have seen yet. Their specialty is fried chicken, waffles and burgers.  This new spot caught my attention and I just had to try it. It is such an airy, cool place with a minimalistic edge. The service is pretty good, I'm pretty sure my friend found herself a boyfriend there (chuckles). This fast food joint seems to be taking over braam. Be sure to try it out if you are in and the around the area.

On Sunday we visited Maboneng for a friend's birthday.

"Maboneng, meaning ‘Place of Light’, is a privately developed urban neighbourhood on the east side of Johannesburg CBD. A fully fledged thriving community, Maboneng is home to several independent retail, restaurants and entertainment venues as well as loft apartments, offices, hotel, a museum and creative factory spaces in a connected urban environment."

I really wanted to write a detailed explanation of  the events that happened on Sunday but i'll just let the visuals tell the story
