LUNCH DATES ARE THE BEST DATES

I know some of you will agree with me when I say the weekends should be for lunch dates and chilling. Saturdays should be for lunch or brunch dates and Sundays for lazing around and prepping for the coming week.

This past weekend I did exactly that. On Saturday I went out for lunch with friends. We went to our favourite spot in Braamfontein, Daleah's eatery. This little chic spot is easily the best spot in town. Situated in Joburg's most coolest and trendiest area Daleah's has the best of everything.

They have the simplest menu which includes pasta, ribs, wings and sliders. The dishes are extremely affordable. LOL I am a student so I look at the price tag almost everytime before I have to ordrer anything on the menu. I would definetly say you get the value for your money and more. The vibe is amazing. I even spotted the guys from the ''I see a different you" collective (fan girl moment!!).

I just realised that I have a post I did last year about this place so if you are interested please go check it out HERE.

Also don't rob yourself of joy and a full stomach, Go to Daleah's, EAT and BE MERRY folks!

MOOD BOARD: PINK POWER

Just a few things that have been inspiring me lately easthetic wise. I am obsessed with dusty pink at the moment so naturally my first mood board is entirely pink.

Rihanna and Solange are my fashion spirit animals if there is ever such a thing.

AVON MATTE LIPSTICKS

Avon launched their range of matte lipsticks quite a while ago. I definitely jumped on these new products because my love for lipsticks is intense especially those with a matte finish. I am not really into make up because of the acne which is why I am so liberal with lipstick. It's just about the only make up bit I can use.

The first lipstick I got was red supreme. I looove red lipstick, it goes with everything. It is my go to colour and it never dissapoints. It is an intense bright red with a matte finish. What I find interesting about lipsticks though is that the shade can vary with different skin tones. In addition to this I got about 10 samples from Avon for R25, I had pinks shades, more reds and some purples. I played around with all these but I was not impressed with the colours.

The second lipstick I got is a burgundy/ maroon colour. It is very rich shade. I lost all the maroon lipsticks I had before and getting this wild cherry lipstick was a no brainer really. I love wearing maroon especially in Autumn and Winter.

These lipsticks are not drying which is what I really love about them. I love the matte finish but I do wish they could last longer. They have tons of colours and shades to choose from I think right now you can get 2 for R139.90. You can visit their website HERE and check out their recent catalogue.

THE CRAFT

On a chilly Tuesday evening we went out to Parkhurst to celebrate one of my friend's birthday, I had seen a few Instagram pictures of the CRAFT restaurant and I really wanted to check it out. Quite a number of us have actually been eyeing this spot and were very excited to go. We got there and the place was buzzing, It was full and the atmosphere was so vibrant.

I got THE CRAFT burger which came with wedges. The patty was quite thick. It was so delicious it melted in your mouth. The burger also came with a sauce which I believe is an onion and mustard sauce. I literally scrapped every bit of the sauce. It was so good!!

The pizza was also delicious. It tasted like nothing I've had before. It was beautifully made.

After that we got waffles. Now I feel like these waffles should get a separate blog post LOL. They were so HUGE and DELICIOUS. One had cheese cake, popcorn and ice cream (can I die?!) and the other had Oreos, ice cream and a bit of cream. They are hands down the best waffles I've had this year. It was like a whole TURN UP in my mouth. It was so good I am even salivating right now thinking about it.

I really recommend that you guys check this place out. Legit top 5 in my list of places to eat.

It is quite pricey for us students LOLbut it is worth it, I promise you.

LOOK POST: "COFFEE RUN"

This was not particularly a coffee run. On our way to what we thought was going to be a fun shoot in Randburg we got free coffee at the #freeyourself stand in Sandton. I got a delicious chai latte. I know nothing about this campaign and I did not even realise it was a Telkom campaign until this little kid pointed it out. Anyway the shoot did not happen that day. We did a lot of running around and at the end of the day I was so grateful that I wore something comfortable even though by the end of the day my white jeans had horrendous stains on them.

p.s we eventually did the shoot and I am excited about the end result so keep your eyes peeled on the blog and our social media for when the look posts go up :)
